Jīntiān xià yǔ, wǒ bù shàngxué.
It is raining today, so I do not go to school.

The rain is heavy and it is cold outside.
我在家看电视。
Wǒ zài jiā kàn diànshì.
I watch TV at home.
妈妈在房间睡觉。
Māma zài fángjiān shuìjiào.
Mom is sleeping in her room.
弟弟在玩电脑。
Dìdi zài wán diànnǎo.
My little brother is playing on the computer.
下午雨还在下。
Xiàwǔ yǔ hái zài xià.
In the afternoon it is still raining.
我不能去外边玩。
Wǒ bù néng qù wàibian wán.
I cannot go outside to play.
我给大家做晚饭。
Wǒ gěi dàjiā zuò wǎnfàn.
I make dinner for everyone.
我做了米饭和鸡蛋。
Wǒ zuò le mǐfàn hé jīdàn.
I made rice and eggs.
