At nine in the evening the train slowly left the city.
车里很暖和，可是我睡不着。
Chē lǐ hěn nuǎnhuo, kěshì wǒ shuì bù zhe.
It was warm inside, but I could not sleep.
我拿出书来看，看了两页就不想看了。
Wǒ ná chū shū lái kàn, kàn le liǎng yè jiù bù xiǎng kàn le.
I took out a book, but after two pages I did not want to read anymore.
我旁边坐着一位老爷爷。
Wǒ pángbiān zuò zhe yī wèi lǎo yéye.
An old grandpa sat next to me.
他也没有睡，一直看着窗外。

He was not sleeping either and kept looking out of the window.

At two in the morning he started talking to me.

The little baby in the photo smiled so sweetly.
老爷爷看着照片，自己也笑了。

The old man looked at the photo and smiled too.
他说，路再远，也要去看一眼。
Tā shuō, lù zài yuǎn, yě yào qù kàn yī yǎn.
He said, no matter how far the road is, I have to go see him once.
早上六点，火车终于到了。
Zǎoshang liù diǎn, huǒchē zhōngyú dào le.
At six in the morning the train finally arrived.
站台上有个年轻人拿着一张纸。
Zhàntái shàng yǒu gè niánqīng rén ná zhe yī zhāng zhǐ.
On the platform a young man was holding a piece of paper.
纸上写着老爷爷的名字。
Zhǐ shàng xiě zhe lǎo yéye de míngzi.
The old man's name was written on the paper.
老爷爷走得很快，像年轻人一样。
Lǎo yéye zǒu de hěn kuài, xiàng niánqīng rén yíyàng.
The old man walked fast, just like a young man.
儿子接过他的行李，两个人抱在一起。
Érzi jiē guò tā de xíngli, liǎng gèrén bào zài yìqǐ.
The son took his bags, and the two of them hugged.
我在后面看着，心里热热的。
Wǒ zài hòumiàn kàn zhe, xīnlǐ rè rè de.
I watched from behind, and my heart felt warm.
下了车，我先给外婆打了个电话。
Xià le chē, wǒ xiān gěi wàipó dǎ le gè diànhuà.
After getting off the train, I called Grandma first.
冬天的早上很冷，我却一点也不冷。

The winter morning was cold, but I did not feel cold at all.
