Dad showed me a book.

Shū lǐ yǒu yī gè xiǎoxuéshēng.
In the book there is a schoolchild.
爸爸说，这个小学生是他。
Bàba shuō, zhège xiǎoxuéshēng shì tā.
Dad says, this schoolchild is me.
我说，这个小学生是你吗？
Wǒ shuō, zhège xiǎoxuéshēng shì nǐ ma?
I say, is this schoolchild you?
爸爸说，是的。
Bàba shuō, shì de.
Dad says, yes.
他说，他天天七点去学校。
Tā shuō, tā tiān tiān qī diǎn qù xuéxiào.
He says, every day he went to school at seven.
他学习汉语，也学写汉字。
Tā xuéxí Hànyǔ, yě xué xiě Hànzì.
He studied Chinese and learned to write characters.
他说，他爱读书，也爱玩。
Tā shuō, tā ài dúshū, yě ài wán.
He says, he loved reading and also loved to play.
现在，爸爸是医生，还天天看书。
Xiànzài, bàba shì yīshēng, hái tiān tiān kàn shū.
Now Dad is a doctor and still reads every day.
他说，学生和医生都要学习。
Tā shuō, xuéshēng hé yīshēng dōu yào xuéxí.
